*OMAN AAPG-SEG Student Group’s activities plan 2003/2004:
· Inauguration Meeting on (6th.October.03) at the Crown Plaza. All Geoscientists
are invited and the Guests of Honors are:

Mrs. Lynda Armstrong (Exploration Manager, PDO)
· Earth Sciences Open Day (30th.November.03) (AAPG-SEG Student Group, SPE
Student Section, Geography Group and Archeology Group)
· The effective participation in the Science Week. (Spring 2004) (College of
Science)
· GSO (Geological Society of Oman) Public Exhibition (January 2004).
· Field Trip to (Majles Al-Jin Cave ) January 2004.
· Weekly Seminars in the department of Earth Sciences (Monday @ 12:00 PM)
· Visiting Secondary Schools (Lectures, Rock samples).
· Publishing Newsletter each Semester.
· Arranging Fields trips for the distinctive members to some geological places.
· Organizing Distinguished Lecture Program (DLP) and Visiting Geologists Program
(VGP) with the Geological Society of Oman (GSO).
· Participation in GeoArabia 2004 Bahrain on March
· A collective Iftar and competitions during the holy month of Ramadan for the
members and the faculty.
· Sport Day for the members and the faculty.
· Celebrate with the graduates.

· Holy month Ramadan competition between CSSS groups( Geogroup & physics group).
